Secret Pal

Kristen signed up for an anonymous gift exchange with other families waiting for their referrals. We, well she, has been shopping for one family and she, well we, have been waiting to see what would turn up in the mail.

This is what turned up last Thursday:


We could not be more delighted! Our first package included a plush bear/rattle/huggy-thing, a wonderful fleece crib blanket (both pictured), some shampoo, and baby massage oil.

This photo also gives you a sense of the new color theme in the nursery-- green!

We're feeling quite proud of the way the room is shaping up. It took a bit of doing this weekend, but it really looks great!

We also met our social worker to update our homestudy today (Sunday). This is all necessary because the process has taken longer than expected, and our various official documents are starting to expire. Ah, the joys of a paper pregnancy!
